The Federal US Government and Businesses
The United States of America is a federal union consisted of fifty states and one independent district - the District of Columbia where the residence of the Federal US Government is situated. According to the US Constitution the Federal US Government consists of three authority offices: executive, legislative and legal.
The executive power is vested in the President of the USA who occupies the post within four years and is elected for the post together with the Vice-president. The President’s particular duties and powers mentioned in the US Constitution are: the President is the Commander-in-chief of the Military Forces; he makes treaties, assigns ambassadors in foreign states and other superior officers. The range of his duties includes also a task to see to the strict execution of the Federal laws. It follows that according to the Constitution the President possesses some powers of controlling the activity of the Military Department. He is responsible for conducting the nation foreign policy and for carrying out the federal programs.
