Представлен краткий обзор современного состояния и проблем разработки месторождений твердых полезных ископаемых дна Мирового океана. Подчеркнута актуальность необходимости развития морской добычи в связи с истощением запасов и усложнением горнотехнических условий разработки минерального сырья. Рассматриваются технологии и подходы к глубоководной добычи полезных ископаемых. Оцениваются перспективы добычи полезных ископаемых в ближайшие 1-2 года.
