Assessment brief
A Life Cycle Analysis:
During the taught content of the module material was presented on product lifecycle and a model was explained and worked through. Additionally within the Moodle site there are a number of case studies on various organisations.
Using the resources above you are required to investigate a system, product or process (off your choice) which is related to the renewable energy sector and undertake a lifecycle analysis. Whilst this assessment is only 1000 words (circa 3 pages long) it is expected that your submission will include:
• A diagram of the relevant product lifecycle for your selected system, product or process.
(40% of the marks)
• Analysis of the typical level of “carbon” embedded in the system, product or process.
(30% of the marks)
• Critical analysis and discussion on the findings of the analysis and possible solutions to reduce the carbon levels within the chosen “product lifecycle”.
(30% of the marks)
In addition to the content of your submission it is important that your submission is written in a “professional” manner with an appropriate language and format which is clear and easy to follow.
Please remember this is a “level 7” Post graduate module and the expectation is that your answers will be supported by relevant citations to current/relevant literature.
It is expected that your submission will contain a front page, content page and reference section. These pages will NOT be included in the 1000 word count.
