TYPES OF BUSINESSES
There are three types of businesses.
Sole Proprietor
This is the simplest way of starting a business. One person sets up and runs the company. The person provides all the capital and has unlimited liability for business debts.
Partnership
A group of people provide the capital, set up the company and manage it together. All partners are responsible for the debts of the partnership, and profits and losses are shared between them.
Limited company
In a limited company the capital is divided into shares, which are held by shareholders. There are two types of limited company: a private limited company and a public limited company.
In a private limited company, all shareholders must agree before any shares can be bought or sold. In a public limited company, shares are bought and sold freely, for example, on the stock exchange.
Most companies are made up of three groups of people: the shareholders (who provide the capital), the management and the workforce.

LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS
All people want to live comfortably. Comfortable living includes a spacious house or a flat, a car, good university education, holiday at a fashionable sea resort, regular visits to a swimming pool or a gym, designer clothes, etc. But sometimes people don’t think twice before they buy something.
Life is great if you have a well-paid job and a solid account in the bank. If you need money, you just take it out of the bank and you never think about the ‘rainy day’.
However, you never know what might happen. You might lose a job, for example. As a result you can’t pay the bills any more. You can’t make ends meet any more. You fall behind with the mortgage or the rent and start getting letters from the bank. What is the way out?
Here’s what debt counselors advise. First of all you need to prioritize your debts. Start with the most important things like the rent or mortgage, electricity and water bills. If you’ve bought something on hire purchase you can try to give the product back to the company. Another option is to offer a smaller repayment. And the best option is “Always live within your means”.
