Нас в вузе заставляют вести дневники на английском языке. Эти дневники мы должны вести ежедневно. В них мы должны писать о том, какие книги мы читаем( на языке), что мы из них узнаем, сложно ли было читать, и т.д. Также пишем про учебу. Еще мы должны слушать аудиозаписи каких-то аудиокниг, или, например, 6 Minutes English on bbc.com., и в дневниках должны писать, сложно ли было слушать запись, что мы из нее поняли, откуда запись и т.д. Я не вела дневник с 06.03.13. т.е. ровно месяц.
Примерный объем - 10-15 страниц. Вот пример выполнения дневника:
Today is Friday. Today I have four lessons. So, today I listened one record. It is an audio book “Batard”. Batard is a short story by Jack London, first published in 1902 under the title "Diable — A Dog" in the cosmopolitan before being renamed to "Batard" in 1904. The story follows Black Leclere and Batard, two "devils", one in man and the other in a wolfdog. Their intense hatred of each other forms the plot as they both want to kill the other, despite having a master and pet relationship. At the end, Batard ends up killing his owner, but is later killed himself.
This short story is a study of an animals reaction to its treatment by man. There were complaints of the way the dogs behavior was described and London followed up on the same theme with The Call of the Wild.
I listened one half of the story and I recorded it on a Dictaphone. I recorded 32 minutes. So I think it’s not so difficult task. But I suppose that my record is not so qualitative. I hope my English teacher will make my record out. If it is bad record, I will record it again with bigger diligence.

Today is Saturday. As you know, for me it is difficult day, and I spent it as usual. So I will not tell about it, it’s waste of time. By the way, today finally chose a book which for home reading. It’s a novel by Jack London, “White Fang”. This is the story about an animal who is three quarters wolf and a one quarter dog who goes from life as an Indian sled dog to a fighting dog owned by a cruel man, to a loving owner who tries to show this maddened savage creature the meaning of love and kindness. What is really unique about White Fang is that it tells of what might be going on in such a creatures head. It tells of what it is like living in a den out in the wild, tells of how White Fang first comprehends the wild and what he lea
s about the law of life. It explains what his first impression of humans, and of the harsh environment of all the other puppies and dogs in the camp. It is beautifully written and I would suggest it to anyone who likes long, thought provoking stories about dogs and wolves and the Northlands.
I think I will enjoy this novel.

Today is Sunday. It’s a real weekend! I plan to drive to my friends and to have fun. But I know that evening I should come back home and do my classes. So, today I recorded a half of a story by Jack London “Batard” once again, but I think it’s not quite good. Unfortunately, I don’t know what to do. But I don’t give up. I will try again may be.
To be honest, I never used to write dairies, and I can say that it is boring activity, but I know that it is necessary for me, for developing my English skills, if they are, and I make myself to do it.
Today I have read ten pages of a novel “White Fang” by Jack London. It’s quite difficult I can say. The novel contains 200 pages. I know that I have to read about 400 pages, and when I will read whole novel, I will choose one more book for home reading, because 200 pages are not enough.
