For the 3rd year - at the phonographical, morphemic, lexical levels

You may also create a text of your own but make sure it contains some devices at

each level. Mind that it is not the text itself, but the analysis that will be

evaluated. Remember that you cannot take any other text for analysis but your

own and the ones listed below.

Step ONE: choose or create a text (do not use AI, it is yet bad at stylistics, believe

me!)

Step TWO: write a brief introduction stating the style, the genre and the general

tone of the text.

Step THREE: mark devices at each level with a different colour.

Step FOUR: Write a paragraph dedicated to each level enumerating the devices

and commenting on their structure (if possible) and function. The levels of

analysis should correspond to the levels we studied in the lectures.
