Cognitive complexity pathways in the Action Logics
Maybe less comprehensive, but particularly useful models help us see developmentally relevant ‘structure’ of data processing in use by our client. Working with the client’s completions or listening for their meaning making in the debrief, we often use Karen Ellis’ complexity processing pathways as a tentative map and inspiration.
We have further elaborated on Karen’s base by highlighting elements of language awareness inherent to each path – these help us notice the paths in the client’s oral and written speech.
